I created the grey scale using Mars Black and Titanium white on pre-stretched A3 cartridge paper. My first two attempts where created by blending a small amount of black into the white or already tinted colours created throughout this task. I found that by creating a scale by matching to a colour guide, I spent more time evaluating and comparing the tone.
The first neutral grey (matched to my second attempt), painted onto the A3 sheets, dried a little darker than when painted. Taking this information into account, I matched to the neutral grey matched to the colour wheel and prepared three A4 sheets onto the drawing board. As these are full pages, i added 25% worth of slow drying medium to ensure I am able to create a smooth, even and equal finish.
