Quick Sketches Around The House

My converted warehouse ‘house’ is a very full and busy enviroment so I had a hard time finding the right area to focus my sketches on, I ended up choosing an area rather than a room.

This sketch was quite fun, I focused on an area that had plain walls, corners and a shelf. I feel like i have done a good job of creating accurate scale. The bag/packet of the toilet rolls is very flat and I do not think it looks very good because of the lack of shading. I also feel like the image is too flat.

Again, this is a very flat sketch, I need to include shading. I enjoyed focusing on creating the wood grain which added a touch more realism to the sketch. I found the shelves hard to recreate and my need to try following the rules of perspective.

I choose this area as it was the only area where I could move in 45. degreee angles – this sketch is very plain but I have included some shading to create shadow to for the area, and represent space.

A lovely view of the toilet. I can see that I paid more attention to the shadows and reflections in this sketch it allows me to see more space in just a clean white area.
